Last Friday we attended the 2011 VM & Display Awards at the beautiful Grand Connaught Rooms in London. The prestigious ceremony celebrates the best visual merchandising displays across the country ranging from graphics, to branding and props.
During the evening, we were delighted to discover that our Sartorial scheme by Prop Studios was not only shortlisted, but won an award for ‘Best Non Fashion Concept.’ With tough competition from the likes of Harrods, Selfridges and Anya Hindmarch I’m sure you can imagine we were over the moon!
Sartorial was inspired by the scents of Norton & Son’s on Savile Row. As a result all of our boutique windows were magically transformed into a tailor’s workroom replete with giant needles and yellow thread.
To further promote the launch we created the Sartorial Scent Box, which enabled customers to smell the raw materials and ingredients which inspired perfumer Bertrand Duchafour to create the fragrance. The concept was a unique and illuminating way to learn more about the formation of the scent.
A fantastic evening and a big thank you to Prop Studios for inviting us! More photos to follow shortly on Facebook.
Fingers crossed we’re be making an appearance at the 2012 VM & Display Awards next year.
