  1. Scarlett says:

Gardenia, this wonderful scent evokes me a beautiful garden with ray of sun and magical insects as lady bugs and butterflies. I love spray one dose on my wrist and close my eyes to see fantasy paradise.

  2. Mrs Susan Belcher says:

As Parma Violets taste and are scented with Violets ~
Rose-scented boiled sweets called Deo taste and smell of Roses ~
Such exquisite joy that Penhaligon’s chocolates will be scented and taste of the luxury of Penhaligon ~ how wonderful !!

  3. Marian Coburn says:

Wow, what a stunning choice! They all sound divine, however the one I’m drawn to the most is Eau Sans Pareil. The description brings images of sitting in a flower garden in the sunshine, drinking champagne but with the deep satisfying taste that only the finest chocolate can bring! I love the fact it has a sugary chocolate shell too for a lovely contrast. Any chocolate that promises me a “giddy rush” is my idea of heaven!

  4. Manuel says:

I think the Malabah will be my favourite. All the delicious ingredients sound magnificent, especially the sandalwood caught my attention. I know how it smells (divine!) but I never thought about how it might taste. I’m always curious about how a beautiful ingredient can also be as delicious in taste as it smells. It’s a journey from the olfactory sense to the gustatory sense and how to connect those two. It’s a great sensation!

Thank you for holding this great competition :)

  5. Jürgen Fend says:

I think i would first try the ones i don´t know, that´s all but Amaranthine and Endymion.
Pretty funny idea to give chocolate the scent of perfume. Never tried such sweeties.
It makes me feel good when i use your soaps so to adapt Penhaligon´s products to gustatory sense sounds really interesting.

    Bon appétit to the winners

  6. Natasha Nealon says:

It would have to be Endymion, as it would remind me of my totally scrummy boyfriend in chocolate form! – what could be better?!

  7. Julia says:

I think my favourite would be Malabah – I have the solid perfume and hand & body lotion, and I love its heady, exotic scent. But given that I’ve caught my mum applying MY lotion when she thought I wasn’t looking, I’d have to wolf down the chocolate version pretty quickly…

  8. Darcy Town says:

Endymion – Nutmeg, sage, coffee, chocolate – omg. Yes. I have actually wandered around behind men wearing the scent, so put it with chocolate? I think it’d be a devilish combination. A perfect treat for the lady someone likes. YUM!

    ~Darcy

  9. Tama says:

Amaranthine is my fave scent, and the chocolate looks decadent!

  10. Barry Creasy says:

The paradox of Endymion – coffee, sleep and dreams.

  11. Katherine says:

Malabah…. My taste buds are tingling at just the thought of the delicate tea, sweet rose and earthy coriander.

Adventures in Scent sound to me as beautiful and luxurious as Penhaligon’s exquisite fragrances. It is always impossible to choose a favourite.

  12. Joe says:

Wow! Great draw opportunity. Thanks so much. I know I’d go crazy for either Orange Blossom or Esprit du Roi, as I love both scents.

  13. Guy says:

Juniper Sling is already an icon in the Penhaligon’s eau de toilette range. I apply mine liberally and drink it in all day long. I’m sure the chocolate will be equally compulsive, but, unlike the scent, there is no chance it will last all day.

  14. Susan Laxton says:

I think my favourite would be Malabah it sounds delightfully exotic

  15. maire nobes says:

I dearly believe the dreamy chocolate hiding the earthy, delicate violet mingled with the sensual vanilla centre would seduce my senses and invoke a memory of a woodland walk for my heart .. therefore a heady Gardenia if you please.

    • Congratulations Marie – we loved your description of how Gardenia invokes the memory of a woodland walk for you. Please email marketing@penhaligons.com with your address and a box of scented chocolates will be sent to you shortly!

      - Lauren

      • maire nobes says:

thank-you so much for acknowleding my few little words of happy memories and for selecting it as one of the winners … Sunny smiles on this sunshine Saturday to you all there @ Penhaligons x

  16. Mary says:

i’m no choc person but Penhaligon’s Esprit du roi is an exception! a sweet yet minty delight, it twirls the tongue and in swirling white shell? simply irresistible! exceptinale!

  17. Melanie says:

From just reading the descriptions of all the scented chocolates, I am most drawn towards the flavours of the Endymion variety. Right now, that is the one I’d eat first. I am a big coffee addict, so naturally I’d be drawn to a coffee flavoured chocolate. The thing is, if I am actually able to recieve these, I think the scents would alter my instinctual coffee choice. I’ve never tried scented chocolates. I think I would just smell the chocolates for a week – saving them. Then, I’d take a nibble of each. I don’t think my prior experiences with chocolate would actually help me choose my favourite in this case. Would my favourite be the one that tastes the best or smells the best!?!

  18. Zoe Wheeler says:

    Gardenia …..heavenly!

  19. Antonio Maltese says:

Juniper Sling….I can’t get enough of juniper! Combine it with chocolate, we’ll take later. loll

  20. gabriela guidetti says:

    Eau Sans Pareil….
    I close my eyes:
    - first bite- the head, a sparkling taste of mandarin, raspberry and pineapple
    - in my mouth – the heart, a fragrant taste of my beloved jasmin, muguet and liquorice
    - in my throat – the base, the sensual black chocolate…..
    I open my eyes….only a dream?

  21. Ben says:

Endymion is my favorite scent and will probably be my favorite chocolate!!!

  22. Jennifer says:

For me it would be the Orange Blossom for its blend of spicy pink pepper, the fruit, the floral and the creamy white chocolate coating. The taste would capture all sorts of exotic moments!

  23. Jennifer says:

For me it would have to be the Orange Blossom for it’s blend of spicy pink pepper, the fruit, the floral and the creamy white chocolate coating. A taste which would capture all sorts of exotic moments!

  24. Francesca says:

Orange Blossom would definitely be my favourite. There’s nothing more delicious than the classic combination of citrus and creamy chocolate.

  25. Sarah jones says:

Esprit du roi – quite simply because it’s me in chocolate and flowers …just delicious ;) x x x

  26. Lisa Conway says:

It’s Friday right? No question then, would love to start my weekend with a Juniper Sling. And in chocolate form – a very happy hour indeed x

  27. Lucy C Taylor says:

Orange Blossom – I love it so much I’d be more than happy for my insides to smell of it too!

  28. Victoria says:

It would be Orange Blossom, because this chocolate is like my mood, sometimes I’m sensitive like white chocolate, but in some moments I can be as intense as intoxicating jasmine, at the same time I can be innocente as peach and spicy like pink pepper, so Orange Blossom is like me, so I’m sure that we’ll get on well with this chocolate :)

  29. Alison Turner says:

Gardenia I love the taste of rhubarb and vanilla whilst the violet and sandalwood would transport me back to happy childhood memories. :)

  30. claire says:

orange blossom – i can close my eyes and be transported away to a beautiful villa, climbing with jasmine and surrounded by orange & peach groves. a cocktail in my hand and the sun warming my toes…

  31. Tamsin Wilson says:

Juniper Sling! How could gin and anything not be delicious. My aim is to slowly embalm myself with every gin product imaginable. Please help.

  32. jo says:

Oh wow, what a choice. But Orange Blossom sounds divine, especially with the added peach flavour

  33. Anna Tuckett says:

As I am partial to high – quality chocolate (it is not quantity, but quality, that counts) I would love to try them all, but if I had to plump for just one, it would be Amaranthine, it does sound like the most sensual and seductive one. I also find the contrast of dark chocolate enrobing white ganache very appealing.

  34. Mrs Susan Belcher says:

Eau Sans Pareil, Endymion, Gardenia, and Juniper Sling -
Malabah, Esprit du Roi, Orange Blossom and Amaranthine…
To make a choice of just one of Pengaligon’s scented chocolates -
I need to examine my moods, my desires and my feminine traits…
Amaranthine with your secretive Ylang Ylang ganache of white -
If I could taste your sensual delicacy – I know you will for me – excite and delight …

  35. Lindaloo says:

Oh yummm! Well, after actually salivating at the possibility of each of these delights, I’d have to choose Juniper Sling. We’re finally getting sunny hot weather and what could be better than a gin sling? The bitter freshness of juniper and gin with cherries, brown sugar and black pepper, and fennel and cinnamon is exactly the kind of “eccentricity” that appeals to me. And it puts me in mind of the delightful video promotion for Juniper Sling.
If I wasn’t such a fan of dark chocolate I think I’d have gone for Endymion — that touch of geranium.
Best of all — there’s really no need to choose because each chocolate is included in the box.

  36. Jessica Volz says:

While each truffle in this decadent assortment is ‘sans pareil’, I find Esprit du Roi the crowning glory. With its aromatic blend of raspberry, mint, Cointreau and geranium, I cannot think of a more royally suitable indulgence for any Diamond Jubilee Tea Party.

  37. Arwad Khalifeh says:

Oh yes. I always feel like eating all my Penhaligon’s products because they smell so beautifully delicious; finally you’ve created a product that I can actually eat :)

  38. isabel says:

Endymion sounds divine! earthy coffee heaven – yes please

  39. Jan Beal says:

Esprit du Roi would be my choice – because raspberry, mint and geranium sound like a taste of summer (and this could be the only taste of summer we see this year)

  40. karen says:

My first instinct is Juniper Sling, but I have to admit that I’d love to try all of them. I love that they describe the Juniper Sling chocolate as “eccentric” – a crazy gin-based jelly covered in chocolate, what’s not to love?!

  41. Maria Eugenia Gonzalez says:

Gardenias remind me of my homeland of Paraguay where the smell of jasmine in the sweaty afternoons is almost intoxicating. The smell of insane quantities of jasmine growing wildly in our gardens in that faraway land is reminiscent of that of a pungent gardenia, always bringing back memories of those lazy afternoons spent with my family in that enchanted land. I can never get enough of those memories and I’d certainly love to take a bite of the gardenia treat!

  42. Marija says:

I can’t choose. Chocolates and Penhaligon’s-that is heaven to me!!!

  43. Melanie says:

What a fab idea…chocs scented with Penhaligons fragrances…..heavenly luxury!
It would have to be the Juniper Sling for me as I was sure you were describing myself when I read: an eccentric gin filled, jelly (belly) morsel!! Filled with some of my favourite ingredients especially cherries and fennel and all those spicey notes would surely be an exciting explosion for the taste buds. Nevertheless they all sound scrumptious.
Mmmm long hot bath scented with my favourite Penhaligon perfume and a box of chocs by my side eaten slowly………..bliss!

  44. Katherine says:

Malabah, without a doubt. I love chocolate and spice, and any kind of food with roses in it is good by me.

  45. catherine scarr says:

It would have to be Malabah. The exotic tastes of Asia combined with a tranquil chocolate covering encasing culture and tradition.

  46. Idil says:

Juniper Sling, because even the perfume makes my mouth water! Such a wonderful combination of ingredients. If I were to win the chocolates I’d douse myself in the perfume and savor every bite of the chocolate, engaging all my senses in Penhaligon’s beautiful and matchless scents.

  47. catherine scarr says:

It would have to be Malabah. The exotic fun loving scents of Asia combined with a calmness of culture and tradition.

  48. Megan says:

Gardenia, with its delicate violet and vanilla flavors, contrasted with the delicious darkness of the shell reflects the mysterious nature of its namesake fragrance. It sounds as though it will be a lovely early summer treat!

  49. Sylvia says:

The jupiter sling is my favorite, the combination of tastes together with the sophisticated look of it adds a twist of contemporary.

  50. MICHELE BURGESS says:

Orange Blossom as the scents sound so fragrant

  51. HEINTZ Carole says:

What a lovely idea! I love Gardenia! Carole from Paris

  52. Elizabeth says:

Gardenia, because rhubarb is a much under-used ingredient. It’d be lovely to taste such a mixture of traditional British yumminess with sandalwood’s exotic peculiarity… and of course the richness of chocolate. Yum! Bring on an Elixir chocolate and I will never eat anything else!

  53. Neil Philip says:

Its got to be the Juniper Sling choccie – a great combination of tastes

  54. Alissia says:

ORANGE BLOSSOM – Finest chocolate and liqueur at sunset, warm night air peppered with the scent of jasmine and a guilty blush spreading across the pale English cheek.

  55. Kathleen Culler says:

I would have to choose Orange Blossom. Penhaligon’s Orange Blossom smells amazing for summer, and the orange blossom chocolate would be an explosion of fresh summery citrus bursts on the tongue with jasmine, peach, and orange liquer. It sounds even more intriguing with white chocolate ,as orange and dark chocolate are always the usual pairing… and pink pepper sounds to be an unexpected kick in the mix!

  56. Morrighanne says:

Amaranthine would be my choice, vanilla and cardamon yumm, then I’d have to scoff the juniper sling ;)

  57. Sally Holt says:

Juniper Sling would be my selection as a double dose of endorphines in the gin and the chocolate would do marvels to lift the s pirits in this dismal spring period!

  58. Alma says:

I would love to try the Amaranthine… Dark chocolate with a white ganache just sounds amazing! If it taste as delicious as it sounds then this is sure to be like heaven in my mouth.

  59. Leanne Doyle says:

I believe I would like the Malabah the most. When rose flavoring is used properly it is so delicious! And, milk chocolate….how coud you go wrong?

  60. Joyce says:

Gardenia – the provocative and sensual scents of the night I met my fiance!

  61. Sara Fogg says:

I would love and savour every one of these chocolates if I had them! My favourite though would be Eau Sans Pareil, it would be so sweet, delicate and perfect. The scent is amazing and I can almost taste this delicious chocolate now! I hope Penhaligons continue to make these amazing inventions! xxx

  62. Paul says:

Lets see, I have Blenheim aftershave, shaving cream, soap and deodorant. So I’d have to give the box to my lovely wife to make her a penny fan as well!

  63. nicola says:

Juniper sling – Gin – need I say more !!!

  64. Francesco says:

Orange Blossom would be my favourite because undefined the Spring with Its colors White and Orange. Has a delicate taste but at the same time covered by the pink pepper and in the heart of this choccolate a délicat orange liquer which leads us to heaven.

  65. Elaine says:

The Juniper Sling for me everytime.

  66. Pip says:

I think I’d have to go for Juniper Sling, you never get a gin liqueur chocolate do you? I think the brown sugar and pepper would taste fabulous in chocolate with gin. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! I may even have to have a swig of gin with a square of cooking chocolate and pretend I can taste the rest.

  67. Gary Low says:

Endymion is my favorite scent! I bet the chocolates are too! I’m sure the coffee, with a range of herbs in the chocolate are the perfect ingredients to highlight the sensual scent that is the Endymion.

  68. Liz Geuken says:

    Juniper Sling!

  69. susan says:

ooh ! Malabah for me, all the way!

  70. susan says:

oh! Malabah for me, all the way!

  71. LindaB says:

Definitely the Amaranthine would be my favorite…it’s one of the best smells out there and I LOVE dark chocolate and cardamom. Delish!!

  72. Jay Dabbs says:

Esprit Du Roi a grande cocktail of delight to transport you to another realm.

  73. JUAN says:

GARDENIA NO DOUBT BECAUSE I LOE THE RUIBARB AND WITH THE CHOLATE , HEVENLY

  74. Margaret Eveleigh says:

Definately the Malabah: I love the smell of sandalwood and the bergamot in earl grey tea!

  75. Jorden Morrison says:

Orange Blossom would be my fave. It would lift my mood and make me feel (even if the UK weather doesn’t play ball) that it was summertime.

Fresh, zesty and well Chocolatey! YUM!

  76. kjanicki says:

What a lovely idea! I think I would love the Amaranthine. It’s my favourite Penhaligon’s perfume; all sexy jungle flowers. I would put on the perfume and then eat my chocolate… slowly.

  77. Frances says:

I would like them all! But I think the Orange Blossom would be lovely.

  78. Kara Stark says:

They all look so delicious! But I think that Malabah would be my favorite, as I adore the perfume already- it always cheers me up and comforts me when I wear it. It is mouth-wateringly good; always reminds me of hot tea and lemon cookies- and to add chocolate to the mix seems just perfect!

  79. Jane Dell says:

I think I would like Amaranthine best. Sweet, sensual, with some sassy spice! Sounds like me! :)

  80. Darcy says:

Although they all sound lovely, the one that would be my favourite is, unfortunately, the one that doesn’t yet exist: Violetta (perhaps Violetta Cream?)

  81. Erin Fang says:

Gardenia would be my favorite, since I’d love to see how all those different floral tastes combine to create the impression of gardenias.

  82. Lajkóné Szabó Judit says:

    I like malabah <3

  83. Annette says:

Esprit du Roi – with raspberry and mint so fresh, the addition of the delightful orange Cointreau will bring out the flavour of the fruit and white chocolate will simply melt it all together exquisitly…. mmmmmmmmmmm heaven

  84. steph bordas says:

esprit du roi will be my fave i reckon. because i love fruity raspberries

  85. Angharad says:

These look amazing. I think Juniper Sling would probably be my favourite, because a gin jelly morsel sounds amazing in itself, let alone in the form of an Art Deco cube!
