Those pictures are gorgeous! I haven’t seen those flowers over here… actually i think maybe I have but they look a lot different. The smaller, shorter variety (google images has a nice set). But I have absolutely no idea what they smell like. I would love to smell Penhaligon’s Bluebell. Perhaps some day.
Hello! Thanks for your comment! There are two main types of Bluebell; Spanish and English. The spanish ones are more upright (and starting to take over) while the traditional English ones (which this wood was bursting with) have the lovely drooping stem with the little blue bells hanging down! They smell much very much like hyacinths but softer and sweeter in my opinion! Bluebell is a wonderful scent, I’ll see if I can find you a sample! Emily.
